Frequently asked questions.
What styles of dance do you offer?
We offer a range of classes for all ages and abilities, including Ballet, Contemporary, and Street Dance. Our classes are designed to encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
What should I wear to class?
For Ballet, we recommend a leotard, ballet tights or socks, and ballet shoes.
For Contemporary and Street Dance, comfortable clothing such as leggings, joggers, and a t-shirt is perfect — along with bare feet for Contemporary or clean trainers for Street.
Hair should be tied back neatly for all classes.
We also have full uniform available to order (T-shirts, hoodies, tracksuit bottoms, jackets and bags) via Kirsty although this is not compulsory.
What should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle, and if possible, a small bag for shoes and personal belongings.
For younger dancers, we suggest labelling all items with your child’s name.
What can I expect in class?
Each session is carefully structured to build confidence, coordination, and creativity. Our classes include warm-ups, technique exercises, choreography, and time for self-expression. We focus on progress and enjoyment — not competition — and every dancer is encouraged to learn at their own pace.
Does the school take part in exams or competitions?
No — we don’t take part in formal exams or dance competitions. We believe in creating an inclusive, pressure-free environment where dancers can thrive through encouragement and enjoyment rather than assessment.
Do students get the chance to perform?
Yes! We hold a yearly showcase where all students are invited to perform on stage and celebrate their progress. It’s a highlight of our year — a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of dance with family and friends.
How do termly payments work?
Fees are paid termly in advance to secure your space in class. You can pay for the full term via the website.
For any alternative payment arrangements, please speak to KDance directly. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds for missed classes.
What makes KDance Studios different?
We pride ourselves on being inclusive, welcoming, and community-focused. There’s no competition — just encouragement, creativity, and connection. Whether you’re 18 months or 80 years old, you’ll find a place to belong, move, and shine.
